One of seven kids, Naomi Newman is a born wrangler. Fortunately she's a Senior Broadcast Producer here at McKinney.

Naomi grew up in Kew Gardens, Queens and is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Shaarai B'nos Chayil High School for Girls. She continued on to Barnard College, where she left with a BA in Psychology. A natural segue to Senior Broadcast Producer at McKinney.

During her impressive career (including more than a decade with HBO's Original Programming and Interstitial departments), Naomi has won numerous awards. A gold at the New York Festival, for example, and "Best Waitress" at Camp B'Nos Yehuda.

When not working, Naomi n resides on twelve acres in rural North Carolina where she is also training for her second marathon. Naomi runs pretty much constantly at work, so she should make fairly decent time.

I'd like to take a moment and give a shout out to probably one of the least acknowledged people in the advertising industry...the company rep.  Woo Hoo!!!!

Ahh, company reps...They make you smile, they make you laugh, they feed you, heck they make you feel good about yourself and oh yeah they also try to sell you their company's services.  Not that there is anything wrong with that...it is their job.

I truly love when company reps come to McKinney.  I look at it as a mini vacation from what I am doing. Reps give me the opportunity to see what is new, what is fresh, who will inspire, who will I hire?

Thus far in my career I probably have met 1000 reps.  That is about 1000 smiles, 1000 laughs, food up the wazoo, feeling great about myself and help in making some great TV ads.

I thank you company rep, come back anytime.

I came to advertising late in my career.

I started in entertainment working as a production assistant on a couple of Nickelodeon shows in NY.  Ten years later I was still working in entertainment when I received the call, or was it a calling?

Regina Brizzolara, McKinney's Director of Broadcast extraordinaire offered me a Producer job.

Advertising, I asked myself?

It was only after some thought that I realized that advertising in its truest form is truly just short films of persuasion.

So ask me what I do for a living and I'll tell you...I produce "Short Films of Persuasion."

Being a Broadcast Producer I spend almost 50% of my time on the road shooting on location or in some dark room looking at a monitor.

I am amazed at how many different Breakfast Burrito incarnations there are available to the minions. You can order it with tofu, with meats, with egg whites, with or without beans, with sour cream, or avocado and lettuce.

You can even create your own custom burrito...

"Excuse me chef I would like my breakfast burrito with bananas and melted chocolate please, thank you!"

Breakfast Burrito a metaphor for life? I think so.
